Jimmy Dale (born 1992) is an American surf rock guitarist, widely recognized as the Crown Prince of Surf and the son of the legendary Dick Dale, the "King of the Surf Guitar". Raised in the Mojave Desert, Jimmy was literally born into surf music. His father began teaching him drums at just two years old, prompting his mother, Jill Dale, to set up a small kit on the side of the stage during live shows. By the third grade, Jimmy transitioned to the guitar, learning the signature heavy picking and middle-eastern inflected scales that defined his father's revolutionary sound. In the mid-1990s, Dick Dale commissioned Fender master builder John English to craft a custom, gold metal-flake right-handed Stratocaster with a specialized skinny neck specifically for Jimmy—an instrument he continues to play to this day.

Following his father's passing in 2019, Jimmy stepped into the spotlight to preserve the family’s musical empire. Fronting The Jimmy Dale Trio, he actively tours and performs high-energy revivals of classic surf rock staples like "Miserlou" and "The Wedge". Committed to total authenticity, he fiercely defends his father's traditional "Dad tone", rejecting modern thin strings and digital effects processors in favor of raw, heavy-reverb setups. To maintain the ultimate connection to the past, Jimmy frequently tours alongside bassist Sam Bolle and drummer Dusty Watson—both seasoned veterans who originally served as the backbone of Dick Dale’s classic backing bands.
